!CHILDREN: Someone has placed Elizabeth born 1798 as the daughter of John Rathbone and Ann Dodge. This is incorrect. The Elizabeth is the daughter of Thomas Rathbone and Mary Dickens. This Elizabeth married John Gay 14 February 1720. She needs to be removed from this family.
!BIRTH-MARRIAGE-BURIAL: Genealogical Notes of New York and New England Families. S.V. Talcott. U.S. D2T; p. 619-629. John was the son of John Rathbone and Margaret. John married Ann Dodge on 10 Jan 1688. NOTE: It appears that John Rathbone was married first and had a son named John who was born in 1680 and died 1680/1. He married Ann Dodge on the 11 November 1686 and had 9 more children.
