More information available at the group Memorial: World Trade Center Reo, John Armand LARCHMONT, NY -- John Armand Reo was a victim of the terrorist attack in New York City on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. John worked for Cantor Fitzgerald, LP as a bond trader on the 104th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He was just 28 years old. Before his recent move to Westchester County, John was a lifelong resident of Troy. He was a graduate of Troy High School where he played varsity football and lacrosse. Following high school, John attended the University of Notre Dame and received his degree from SUNY Albany. John was employed by Marra's Pharmacy in Cohoes and the law firm of D'Agostino, Krackeler, Baynes and Maguire in Menands before he joined the firm of Cantor Fitzgerald in May, 2001. John was an avid golfer and was a member of The Country Club of Troy. John was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy. John is survived by his parents, Armand and Judith Reo of Troy; his sisters, Suzanne Swaine of Larchmont, NY, Meghan Matzemaekers of Andover, MA and Kristin Maguire of Delmar, NY; a brother, Mark Quinn Reo of Troy; and his brothers-in-law, David Matzemaekers and Richard Maguire. John's third brother-in-law, John Swaine, was with John Reo at the time, both were killed in the World Trade Center. John was the proud uncle of eight nieces and nephews. John was also the nephew of Joanne and Frank Galarneau of Cohoes and William and Barbara Quinn of Hobes Sound, FL. John was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Armando and Rose Reo of Waterford; maternal grandparents, William and Mary Quinn of Troy; and was the nephew of the late Maryknoll Sister Joyce Quinn. A funeral is planned for Friday, September 21, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Victory Church, Marshland Court, Troy, Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Troy High School to establish a scholarship fund in memory of John Reo.
