RHODES FAMILY

Classification: Query
Surnames: RHODES, FISHER, HANCOCK
I need information on the parents of John Wiley RHODES, born 8-8-1871, in Burleson Co., TX. His parents might have been F.Y. RHODES and Ann FISHER. Does anyone know? These names were found on the death certificate of John Wiley RHODES, but I don't find these people in the census anywhere. In the 1880 Brazos Co.,TX census I find a John RHODES, age 8, living with Robert Woodruff as his ward. Could this be John Wiley and his parents have died?? John Wiley RHODES married Mary Helen HANCOCK and had a son John Wiley RHODES, jr in 1901, TX.
Any information appreciated on this family.

Surnames: Fisher, Rhodes, Perry
Parents of John Wiley Rhodes: Felix Young Rhodes (May 5, 1845-circa 1913) and Ann Fisher (circa 1848-circa 1872). Ann Fisher's grandfather James Fisher (1781,NC-Circa 1852,TX) James Fisher was a member of Austin's "Original 300" Settlers. Consider joining the exclusive Austin's "Original 300" Society.
(1) James Fisher/Jane Unknown, (2) John Fisher (1820,TN-circa 1871,TX)/Mary Perry (TX), (3) Ann Fisher/Felix Young Rhodes. Postscript: The Fisher and Perry genealogies are very interesting. For example, John Fisher joined Texas Army and fought against Mexico. Also, includes Richardson Perry who died at the Alamo. I know this is an old post, but hope this helps.
