John (Robert) Robarts Sr.

John Robert/Robarts was the only child of Elizabeth Lambright and Abraham Isaac Robert. He was born on February 02, 1742 in South Carolina. He changed his name from Robert to Robarts. He married Mary Lambright on September 02, 1765 in Colleton County, South Carolina. Together, John and Mary were the parents of ten children.

John and his family followed his mother (Elizabeth Shepard) and step-brother Thomas Sheppard, at a later date, into Liberty County, Georgia, where he died on April 17, 1786.

John Robarts apparently served in Captain Darius Dalton's Company of Volunteer Militia, in 1775.
