5. John Russell, b. Cambridge. Mass., Sept. 11, 1645, d. March 6, 1733, m. Elizabeth Fiske, b. probably 1654, daughter of David Fiske, probably by his first wife Lydia Cooper, who died Nov. 29, 1654. David Fiske was son of David, who was at Watertovvn 1638.
John Russell was at Cambridge Farms, Mass. at the organization of the parish in 1693, and was the largest subscriber for the meeting house. He was one of the original members of the church in 1696, and his wife removed her relations to the church in Lexington soon after from Cambridge.
He was not only a man of wealth, but was an active and valuable citizen, and filled various offices in the parish and. town.
There was another John Russell, who removed to Wethersfield, Ct.
