John, Sharples, son of Johan and Jane (Moor) Sharples, was born at Blakenhall, Cheshire, England on 11 mo. 16, 1666 and died in Ridley Twp on 7 mo. 9, 1747. He was married under the care of Chester Mo. Mtg. at the house of John Bowater, Middletown Twp., on 9 mo. 23, 1692 to Hannah Pennell, daughter of Robert and Hannah (Hyandson) Pennell of Boulderton, Nottinghamshire, England. She was born, probably in Nottinghamshire, on 7 mo. 23, 1673 and died 10 mo. 31, 1721 in Ridley.

• Caleb born 7 mo. 27, 1693 and died 2 mo. 29, 1720, unmarried. His will was probated in Chester Co., Pa. In it he called himself a weaver and left his entire estate to his father who was appointed his executor.
