See https://www.ancestry.com/boards/surnames.tabor/699.2.1.1.1/mb.ashx for a long compilation of information about this family. Some excerpts:
My cousin went to the McClung Library in Knox Co TN and found some records of Tabors in early Anderson, and I sent for microfilms of land deeds in Anderson, Morgan and Roane from TSLA. The info that we found there plus census research leads us to believe that the parents of our John O. Tabor are John and Agness Justice Tabor, s/o John and Elizabeth Sharpe Tabor of Rutherford Co NC. There is much conflicting data on John (who married Agness and will be referred to as John 1 in this document) in various genealogies posted on the web. He is said to have had 3 wives: 1.Elizabeth Parker married in 1785 in GA, 2. Agness Justice married in 1788, NC. 3. Dorcas Stovall, married in 1808 in GA. He is also supposed to have died in 1832 in Bledsoe Co TN and had his will proved in Franklin Co GA. I have included a section at the end of this document which discusses the GA Johns.
JOHN TABOR JR. Birth: 18 APR 1763 in Orange County, NC
1788 16 April John Tabor s/o John and Elizabeth Sharpe, married Agness Justice in Rutherford County, NC
The children that I have for John and Agnes Justice Tabor :
1. Elijah b. abt 1788-90 NC m. to Sarah Green - it has not been proven that he was a son of John and Agness.
1850 Ark. census 162/165
2. Dicey b. abt 1796 NC m. to Smith [see 1850 Bledsoe Co TN census]
3. William S. b. abt 1798 NC m to Martha Ann Lovelace. We believe this is the William in the court case (see 1813) (source of bdate: 1850 census of White Co TN)
1813 Anderson Co. Records Court Minutes 1810-1834 was an entry State Vs. William Taber. The record did not say what action he was charged with. Entry was Thur. Jan. 14, 1813. Page 173. He pleaded not guilty to the charge, but was found guilty by a jury. Names on the jury were Henry Atter, Michael Hoster,James Davidson, Benjamin Langford, Matt Heath, John Tunnell, Britton Cross,George Hensley, Richard Campbell, John Rector, John Bounds and Thomas Hope.He was fined 6 1/4 cents plus court costs. John Taber came into court and acknowledged himself bound to pay said costs charged in the Bill of Indictment. "Therefore it is considered by the court that for such his offence he be fined 6 1/4 cents and pay the costs of his prosecution".
Because John Tabor came into court and acknowledged himself 'bound' to pay the court costs, I am assuming that this Wm is his son and a minor at this time.
4. Elizabeth "Betsey" Tabor b. abt 1800 NC m to Daniel Conley [see 1850 Bledsoe Co TN census]
5. John O. Tabor b. 1803 NC
6. Elinor b. @ 1805 NC (Ellender, see 1824.) had daughter Sallie (Sarah) by William Butler and later married Mr. Pulling (see 1824 Anderson Co. court case and 1850 Bledsoe Co census)
7. Christiana "Castina" b. abt 1809 TN m John C. Webb [see 1850 White Co TN census]
8. Daniel b. abt 1811 TN- I have found no trace of him unless he is the father of Rebecca Tabor (see 1850 Bledsoe, family of Mark Cannon) His name was provided by another researcher and we have been unable to confirm her sources.
Some of the info is from the census, some from "Cumberland Cos. First Hundred Years", some from other Tabors I've connected with. I received some from the Justice side of the family.

1800 Rutherford Co NC census
both have men over 45 - John Jr should be 37
1810 Rutherford Co NC census
Believe one of these is son of John and Agnes, the other is Eli, John 1's brother
