John Tower Blake is in Providence, RI gebore in 1840.
Hy praktiseer as geneesheer op verskillende plekke.
A Westpointer with the Boers, geskryf.

They arrìved on his farm and demanded his horses and dispensary for their war effort. He and his wife gave them a friendly reception and served them tea. When they left, he shot all his horses and blew up his dispensary! He then joined the Boer forces. He was one of the very few doctors on the Boer side. He had close links with the Irìsh Brigade (who fought on the Boer side) where he befriended Jack Hindon, a Scot who was a real thorn in the flesh of the English, sabotaging trains and railway lines.
