12 Dec 1787 bought 359 acres for £228 from Abner & Mary Howell (DB-D p. 201)

29 May 1792 will written, wife listed but not named; sons Jacob & Henry 240 acres; son Joseph 120 acres; son John (under 21) £120; daughters: Sarah, Elizabeth, Catharine (under 18). Executors: brother Henry & 3 eldest sons Jacob, Henry & Joseph; witnesses: William McFarland, Jesse Hart, Mattison Hart. WB-1 p. 166; Accounts Vol. 8, 1799.

6 Aug 1792 will probated.

9 Aug 1792 Appraisal by Amos Gregg, James Carter. Personal property £50; bonds £435; cash £24

24 Oct 1799 Final settlement -- Dr. Absalom Baird listed as a physician.
