"The Day Book and Ledgers of Dr. Van Kirk from 1768 to 1815 are still in existence in a good state of preservation, and from 1776 to 1815 his practice extended from Rocky Hill to Harbourton and from Princeton to Wertsville and Ringoes. From 1768 to 1776 he was located in Northern Hunterdon County."

Spotted your entry on Rootsweb. My family tree has a Dr. Benjamin Van Kirk, married Sarah Armitage around 1770. I believe his father was Henry and his mother Sarah. It was Henry's second marriage, to his first wife Dorothy Morgan he had 9 children. Henry was born 1700, Hopewell, Hunterdon N.J. died 1776.

Benjamin & Sarah had 7 children. Reuben, Mary, Enoch, Ralph, Sarah, Deborah and Ursula. All between 1773 and 1790. Could we have the same connections? My family is the Armitage clan. I have received the above info. on Henry from Susan Morten via e-mail. Hope you can help me.... Robyn
