About John Webb, III

Biography

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Webb-1818

John Webb was born on about 14 Mar 1720/1721 (sources exist for both dates), son of John and Mary (Boone) Webb. He married Rachel Willits (daughter of Thomas Willits and Rachel Powell Willits) in 28 Dec 1747, in Berks, Pennsylvania.

John was born only 7 months after his folks married. 14 Mar being the end of 1720, before the new year 1721 started then.

Rachel wasn't a Quaker and disowned by the Friends Society.[1] [2]

Before this date 28 Dec. 1747 - "John Webb bn 1-14-1721 Exeter Township, Berks County, Pa was censured by the Quakers for 'marrying out' to Rachel Willits before a magistrate."

He must've made peace with the Monthly Meeting soon after as his children are listed in the Exeter records 1750-1769.[3]
