The Webster family left Wisconsin in mid-June and reached Florence where they continued alone to Fort Kearny. At this place they loaded their outfit on a train that took them to Julesburg where they joined the George Dunford train traveling to Salt Lake.
He married Mary Ann Wright 15 Jul 1858 in North Prairie, Waukesha, Wisconsin. They had at least nine children, including son, Daniel Webster. John was a blacksmith.
