Biography

John Weeks was born ca 1655 Edgartown, the son of William Weeks.[1]. He married Mary Rowley 7 January 1675/6 Falmouth. [2]

The children of John & Mercy (Rowley) Weeks, born in Falmouth, were Nathaniel, John, William, Elizabeth, Shubael, Ebenezer, Abigail, Mehitable, Uriah & Mary.

John Weeks was probably a carpenter since the inventory of his estate at Falmouth, taken 17 August 1730, included many carpenter's tools. Banks claims John was from Edgartown and later resided in Falmouth, and that he was a missionary to the Indians. [3]

William and Ebeezer Weeks of Falmouth were appointed Admistrators of the estate of John Weeks, late of Falmouth, yeoman deceased, on 7 August 1730. Both swore to the inventory and in June 1731 they reported finding more of "our deceased father's estate."
