About John White, of Fairfield County

Seen as the son of Moses White, Sr., of Lancaster County & Mary White but evidence seems lacking.

It is family history that John White was killed in a skirmish with Cherokee Indians in Woodward, Fairfield, South Carolina, and he was buried in the nearby Concord Cemetery, Woodward, Fairfield, South Carolina.

In 1930 descendants of John White had a marker erected alongside the marker of his wife, Ann Garner White in Old Purity Cemetery, Chester County, South Carolina. He is not buried there, but is buried at Concord Cemetery, Woodward, Fairfield, South Carolina. There is no marker for him at Concord Cemetery.

JOHN and ANN WHITE were the parents of one son and six daughters. All were born in Ireland before 1767, besides the youngest child, JANNET WHITE, who was born in Chester Co., South Carolina.
