John Yeager, another of the pioneer settlers of Boone County, died at 4:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, at the home of his son, W.H. Yeager, 2010 Tama Street. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Marion street M.E. church, conducted by Rev. J.C. Crawford, burial in Linwood cemetery. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania in 1836, and was 69 years old at the time of his death. He came to Boone county in 1866 and for many years resided on a farm in Colfax township, near Luther, later the family removed to Boone and purchased a small tract of land on South Marion street, where they resided until the death of his wife about five years ago, since which time he has been making his home with his children.
