Jonah moved to Great Barrington, Berkshire, MA where he got one proprietary right of 400 acres. It is presumed that it was near his father's but no maps or descriptions of the rights have been found.
In December 1743, Jonah, his brother John and others became the Charter Members of the Second Church in Great Barrington, Berkshire Co., MA, the Revered Samuel Hopkins, Pastor.
The Northampton, Hampshire Co., MA probate records, box 115, show Elizabeth Pixley, presumably the widow, named administrator of Jonah's estate, 23 September 1751; and on 20 February 1752 named guardian of his heirs, William and Esther, both under 14 years of Age" [Source: McCallum, Page 6]
