Jonah Strickland, died May 16, 1798. Age 84.

Jonah was the son of Benjamin Strickland and Elizabeth Loveland. He was born 9 April 1714 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He married Patience DeWolf on 5 December 1745 in Bolton, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Matthew DeWolf and Patience Brewster.

A soldier of the French-Indian war. Jonah served under Capt. Timothy Hierlehey's 7th Co. 1st Reg't in the campaign of 1758. My 1C/6R
