About Jonas Klein

Jonas Klein was the first child of Simon and Borbala Klein nee Guttman. He was b. in Szobrancz in 1852. I have marriage record, burial record, other documents confirming dates. In 1891 Trade directory, Jonasz is listed as a carriage operator and living in Szobrancz. His family started a carriage business, hauling waste, moving houses, etc. Jonasz was married to Betti nee Glanz and had 8 children - Ilona, Rozsi, Emmanuel, Mor, Gyula, Imre, Lilli and Gizela. The older children were born in Szobrancz based on records I have located. After 1894, the family relocated to Ungvar where they propsered in their business.
