A Jonas Lawson made a will 5 April 1770 in Bedford County, Virginia and it was filed 24 September 1771. This Jonas mentions a son named David and grandsons, David, William, John and James Was this the Jonas of Goochland County or Jonas the son of William Lawson of Falling River? There are indications that David and Jonas, both of Goochland moved to Bedford County after selling their land in 1767. I tend to believe that it was Jonas Lawson of Goochland County that was made and filed the will in Bedford County, VA. Jonas Lawson would have been 83 years or older when he died.
