Jonas Osborne

Jonas Osborne was born in 1838 in Floyd County, Kentucky. He was the son of Thomas Osborne and Nancy Jane Frazier. He married Martha Allen, daughter of William Allen and Susannah Martin, on 12 December 1863 in Floyd County, Kentucky.

The family has consistently spelled the surname Osborne with the final "e," however, on various census reports, the enumerator dropped the "e."

Jonas Osborne appeared on the census of 1850 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Jones Osborn, age 12 living in home of father. He appeared on the census of 24 July 1860 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Jonas age 21 living in home of father. He appears on the census of July 6, 1870, listed as Jonah Osborn age 32. living in the home of his parents, with his wife Martha and four children
