About Jonathan Avery
He was a house carpenter. His father sold to him, Jan. 5, 1728, land which he, in turn, sold to James Avery, Jr., Jan. 6, 1728 {Gi^oton Deeds, 2:329, 341). The Rev. David Avery (No. 511) says that Jonathan' Avery died in the expedition to Cartagena, about 1742. His widow m. Nathan Barnes before 1753.
