48th Descendant of Thomas Bliss that came to America in 1635 48.
JONATHAN, of East Windsor, Conn., (son of Samuel Bliss and Mary- Leonard, of Springfield, Mass.,) born Jan. 5, 1672, bought lands in East Windsor, Dec. 28, 1724, of " Samuel Sweet," but was j>reviously a resident there. As — in the report of a committee on the survey of lands called the "Equivalent," and belonging to Windsor, dated May 1, 1743, — "Lot No. 79, containing eighteen acres and one hundred rods in the first or west Tier," which commenced at the Bolton, (now Vernon) line, and ended with No. 98, at the Enfield line, was set off to " Jonathan Bliss' heirs," he must have died not long previously. He was married March 7, 1702, to Sarah, daughter of Benjamin and Hannah Eggleston, of Enfield, Conn., and died about 1740. She was born April 20, 1683. Issue :
