About Jonathan Hunt
Application for a Transfer
State of Missouri
County of Morgan
On this seventh day of November 1843, before me the subscriber a justice of the peace for the said county or Morgan personally appeared Jonathan Hunt who on his oath declares that he is the same person who formerly belonged to the company commanded by Captain John Bullen in the regiment commanded by Col Francis Lock in the services of the United States, that his name was placed on the pension roll of the state of Kentucky whence he has lately removed; that he now resides in the state of Missouri where he intends to remain and wishes his pension to be there payable in future. The following are reasons for removing from Kentucky to Missouri (unintelligible); Many of his children had removed from Kentucky to Missouri before him and he desires to be among them and therefore followed them to Missouri for the purpose of living in this state and has made his permanent residence in the said state of Missouri.
