Joseph James Brannon

Grandpa Brannon never retired. He worked on paper machines at Harding Jones. He was offered a job in Michigan, and Harding Jones offered him a "lifetime job" to stay. Stay he did, and then when electricity was invented, the paper machine went too fast and made him nervous, as he was used to the machine being powered by water. He had a stroke in February 1950 and died at age 75, never enjoying a day of retirement.
