According to the 1920 Census, he and Carrie Immigrated in 1905 from Italy to America.
According to Joseph's WWI registration card and Census records, he worked as a Tailor in New York. It appears as if his name was spelled "Gueseppe" on that document.
As best as we can determine, Joseph came over on the S.S. Hamburg, leaving Naples, Italy (1 Feb 1906) and arriving in New York, New York (14 Feb 1906). Deb Filkins believes she has immigration papers from his trip, but this data has not yet been verified with her records.
