On Jan 21, 1886 Joseph married Annie Caroline BIRD at the St Paul Anglican Church, daughter of Elizabeth HEYWOOD & George BIRD (1841-1872).
Census of 1891 in RM of Belcourt (MB): Joseph FIDDLER, age 28; wife Annie, age 26. Children: Joseph(age 4), T. Charles (2) and Annie (age 1).
Census of 1901 in Kildonan: Joseph FIDDLER, age 38; wife Annie, age 36. Children: Joseph (age 14), Annie (1), Isabella (9), Frances (7), Lillian (5) and Arvilla (age 2).
Census of 1906 in Kildonan-St Paul: Joseph FIDLER, age 43; wife Annie, age 41. Children: Joseph (age 19), Annabella (14), Frances (12), Lillian (10), Arabella (7) and Ernest (age 3).

Census of 1911 in East St Paul: Joseph FIDLER, age 46; wife Annie, age 43. Children: Lizzie (age 21), Frances (17), Lillian (15), Villia (12) and Ernest (age 8). With them are son Joseph, age 24; Daughter-in-law (Joseph’s wife) Louisa, age 19. Granddaughter Gertrude FIDLER, a baby (born Jul, 1910). Son-in-law: James PALMER, age 30 (born Jun, 1881) & daughter Bella PALMER, age19; baby grandson Stuart PALMER (born Dec 1910).
Census of 1916 in East St Paul (Lot 113): Joseph FIDLER, age 52; wife Annie, age 50. Children: Lizzie (age 26), Frances (22), Lillian (20), Villa (17) and Ernest (age 13). He’s a laborer with the Municipality.
In 1918 eldest daughter Elizabeth married in St Paul to William BURNETT (1890-1971) from England, son of Jane and James BURNETT.
In 1919 daughter Lillian married Frederick DAVIS in St Paul, son of Margaret FLETT & Arthur John DAVIS (b-1874) from Wales.
Census of 1921 in West St Paul (River Lot 17): He’s a laborer with the Municipality. Joseph FIDLER, age 57; wife Annie, age 56. Children: Villa (age 21) and Ernest (age 18). Also with them is daughter Lillian (age 23), her husband, Fred DAVIS (age 28) and their baby son, Allan DAVIS (age 7 months).
It is said that daughter Arvilla married a Jack PONCELET of uncertain origins. ** Need help with this one.
In 1923 youngest son Ernest married Millicent TODD in Winnipeg. Millicent was born in England of uncertain parentage.
In 1925 daughter Jean married William Hamilton SMITH in St Paul, son of Margaret MORRIS and John SMITH (1859-1941) from Scotland.
On Aug 23, 1928 Annie (nee BIRD) FIDLER died; and on Feb 24, 1934 Joseph FIDLER died in Winnipeg. Both were buried in the St Paul Cemetery at Middlechurch.
