Joseph Hanneken

The son of Bernard and Catherine Hanneken, Joseph married Mary "Elizabeth" Pohlman on 25 Jul 1871 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Calhoun County, Illinois.

Joseph and Elizabeth were the parents of at least 6 children. He worked as a farmer in Calhoun County.

Elizabeth gave birth to a son, Bernard, on 09 Jan 1885. She died a week later at the age of 31.

Children from first marriage: 3 sons, 3 daughters.

Joseph then married Katherine Siemer on 21 Apr 1885 in Calhoun. She was the widow of Conrad Jacobsmeyer and had 10 children from her first marriage.

Children from second marriage: 10 step-children.

At the time of his death, Joseph was 65-years-old. He was survived by his second wife, Katherine, who passed away in 1909.
