About Joseph Franklin Hansen

Joseph F Hansen, 68 former Brigham City merchant, died at his family residence, 1798 S. 5th E. St., Salt Lake, Monday, from influenza pneumonia.
Mr. Hansen was born in Brigham City, Sept. 16, 1875, a son of N. P. and Maria Lovegreen Hansen. He was active in Church affairs in Box Elder County. He established the Hansen Furniture and Music Company, later Hansen Wholesale Electric Company and Hansen Motor Company. He was a member of the city council for several years and was a charter member of the Brigham City Rotary Club. He was also interested in bicycle racing and fine horses.
He performed a mission in Great Britain from 1905 to 1907 and was superintendent of the Box Elder Stake Religion Classes for several years. He also served on the Stake Sunday School Board.
Funeral services will be held in the Belvedere Ward Chapel, 607 Downington Ave., Friday, Feb 4, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the family plot in the Brigham City Cemetery following a short service there.
