Joseph E. Hruza, 58 of 20 NW Third St., Faribault, died in Veteran's Hospital, Minneapolis, Tuesday morning, June 21, following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Church Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas P. Hunstiger officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery at Fort Snelling with members of Faribault veterans' organizations providing military rites. Visitation will be in Immaculate Conception Church for an hour before the service. Arrangements are by the Parker-Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault. Joseph E. Hruza, son of Frank and Mary Novotny Hruza, was born at Webster Oct. 28, 1924. He owned and operated Joe's Bar in Faribault for over 30 years. He is survived by two sons, Jerome Hruza of Placer, Colo., and Michael Hruza of Faribault; three step-children, Susan Korpinen of Dallas, Tex., David Dube of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and James O'Brien of Littleton, Colo.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Hruza of Moorhead and John Hruza of Faribault; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Willing of Faribault, Agnes Wagner of Farmington and Josephine Carney of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Francis.
