GEDCOM Note

Joseph Jr. came to Woodbury, CT with his family as early as 1682. He was a farmer and according to the late Hon. Edwin Stearns, "was the first person who settled in the Society of Gilead in Woodbury." As a householder in 1702 he received a portion of the meadow on Shapaug River.
