Joseph Stanislaus Keleher and Claire Agnes Keleher were married in 1934 in Tassie? Joe. Keleher, served in Egypt, France and Belgium, WWI.
He finished the war with the rank of Captain, remained involved with the army and held the rank of colonel in WWII. Joe was secretary of a city licensed club for 20 years before going, in 1945, to the Barkly Hotel, Footscray, where he was manager.
Clair and Joe Keleher took over Rising Sun Hotel, South Melbourne April 1949, they were later associated with the Cosmopolitan Hotel 226 Swanston street, in Melbourne C.B.D.
