About Joseph A Lambert
Joesph and his brother enlisted in the 1st Alabama Cavalery (Confederate Army) on 10/29/62. You could say this adventure was a mixed blessing. Joselph's brother, William Wilson, died on 12/1/62 of disease in Corinth MS. On the positive side (?) Joseph was discharged the following year (3/26/63) due to chronic rheumatism.

Another brother,William Jerry, died in Atlanta 5/16/63. However, I was unable to locate any details about this, and there was no military record.
Tough stretch for the Lamberts. I guess you could say the same about most American families between 1861 and 1864.
