In 1850 Abraham Leatherman 4, son, is listed with Joseph 31, Hannah 29, Sarah 8, and William 6 in the census of Plumstead Twp, Bucks Co PA (LDS Film No 20608 Digital GS No 4191081 Ref No 34 Census P 228).

In 1870 Joseph 51 and Hannah 49 are found living in Plumstead with daughter Sarah 28, all b PA (LEATHERMAN JOS 51 M W PA PA BUCKS PLUMSTEAD TWP 1870; Series: M593 Roll: 1314 Page: 545). Abram 23 was living in Doylestown, PA. In 1860 they are found with Sarah as the only child at home (LETHERMAN JOS 40 M W PA PA BUCKS PLUMSTEAD TWP 1860; Series: M653 Roll: 1085 Page: 608).

The death certificate of Joseph M. Leatherman shows that he was born January 21, 1818 in Pennsylvania to Joseph Leatherman and Sarah Myers, was a farmer, and died February 23 1906 at Plumstead Twp, Bucks Co, PA, with burial at Deeprun [sic].
