COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 12/10/1945
MANNING – Joseph J., in his 85th year, passed on Sunday, December 9, 1945, at 10:15 a.m., at the residence, 338 E. Kentucky St. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Manning (nee Deddens), and devoted father of Henry, Herman and Edward Manning, Mrs. William Weber, Mrs. Clara Hudson, Mrs. Joseph Meschede, Mrs. August Schaaf, Mrs. Clarence Pabst of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. John A. Lloyd; brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Deddens and William Manning of St. Louis, Mo., and Theodore Manning of Louisville; also survived by 47 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Remains will lie in state at the Godfrey F. Russman Mortuary, 1041 Goss Ave. Funeral, Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Russman Chapel, and 9 o'clock at St. Paul's Church. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery.
