About Joseph Martin Bosh
Grandpa Bosh was known for his skills as a horseman. He was very good at breaking in new horses. At one time, he was working with a particularly difficult horse that others had given up on. He worked and worked the horse until it was finally obedient... to him. His friend saw how great the horse was now responding and decided he wanted the horse. Grandpa tried to tell him the horse was ready for anyone else yet... but the friend insisted. It took him almost a week to finally come to Grandpa and admit the horse was too much for him. In fact, he initially thought Grandpa had tricked him with the horse until he saw how the horse responded again- once he was back in Grandpa's care. They say you can tell a lot about a person by the way animals respond to them. Grandpa was the boss, and the horses knew it and respected him for it.
