Joseph Mayo was born on 22 December 1696[1]. He was the son of John Mayo and Hannah Freeman.

He married Abigail Myrick 20 Feb 1717/18 Joseph was a farmer, selectman and was chosen Deacon Mar. 9, 1739/40 in Harwich.
