Joseph Morse was born April 3, 1637, son of Joseph and Hester (Pierce) Morse of Watertown. (p. 293)[1]

He married Susanna Shattuck born about 1643, daughter of William and Susanna Shattuck of Watertown, on April 12, 1661. (p. 169)[2] (p. 61; p. 66) [3] [4] (p. 416-7)[5]

They removed to Groton in 1666 where they lived until that town was destroyed by the Indians in 1676. They then returned to Watertown. Joseph died in 1677 at age 40 in either Groton or Watertown. (p. 66) [3] [5] The inventory of his estate is dated 1677 at Groton.

After his death, widow Susanna married at Watertown, John Fay on July 5, 1678. [4] [5]
