1716/7, March- Sells his farm in Kingstown, RI and moves to the section of Providence, RI, which was set off as Glocester, RI in 1730/1.

Circa 1717- Early settler of Glocester, RI.

1720, October- Freeman of Providence (Glocester), RI.

1730/1, February 11- Jospeh Place of Providence (Glocester), RI testified in South Kingstown, RI that he knew of a certain piece of land for "these 22 years and upwards."



Joseph Place married Joannah (Born in 1679/80 in Suffolk, Massachusetts). Joseph seemed to take possession of the farm, as on Mar. 17, 1716/7, Joseph Place and wife Joanna deeded to Daniel McCoon (the second husband of Sarah Place Cook) 100 acres, reserving 3 rods square "where father Enoch Place is buried." This farm was located about 1 mile west of what is now known as Wickford, RI.
