Mary first married Joseph Post, secondly William Hayes as his second wife.

Mary and Joseph were first cousins once removed; his father and her paternal grandfather were brothers.

His will is dated 10 April 1749 and proved on 5 May 1749 In Norwich. His inventory was taken on 22 May 1749.[1]

In 1753, the estate distribution is set out to his only son, Joseph, and his seven daughters, Rebecca (eldest daughter), Sarah, Lucretia, Mindwell, Mary, Elizabeth, and Huldah.[2]
