Joseph Vos was a son of Abraham Joseph Vos and Alida de Vries. He married Betje van Dam in 1883 in Amsterdam. She passed away before 1904. They had five children, among whom Abraham, Hartog, Salomon and Isaac. In 1904 Joseph Vos married Branca Vilbach. She passed away in 1937.
