About Joseph Windorpski
Joseph Windorpski and his wife came to the United States in 1868. They departed Bremen, Germany on 24 April 1868 on the Barque "Emil". They arrived in Quebec in June 1868. With them were ther 2 children, Francis (Frank) and Marianna. According to family tradition, Marianna died and was buried at sea. They settled in the Saint Paul, Minnesota area. He was a successful farmer. He eventually moved to Graceville, Minnesota. It was there that my grandfather, William Michael Windorpski was born. He was the youngest child in the family. William later dropped the "p" from the name and spelled it Windorski. He and his wife are buried in Graceville, Minnesota.
