Presents received at my wedding:
One half-dozen silver teaspoons, one soup ladle, one china salad bowl, one berry set, one sugar bowl and creamer, two quilt covers, block for two quilt cover, one song book, and one book, "Nedra."
Melvile C. Miner officiated and the certificate was witnessed by Leon and Gertrude Burdick, and William Walradt.
A fragment of my papers written in October 1966:
Oct. 1 – Louis Thurston died at Dearborn Vet. Hospital. Tom came at 7. a.m. and told me. Josephine and Mary came and took me to Mary's, from there went to funeral home. Was home a week. Went to Mary for a week. Am going to Josephine next Sun. Had dinner last two Sundays at Tom & Reta's house. This is October 20 -66. Stayed last night two night before with Thelma. She dug glad. bulbs today. She is taking it pretty good. I am so lonesome lately. Zoe Cooper is so good to me.
