Joshua Eaton

Joshua Eaton. Born on 4 Dec 1653 in Reading, MA.83 Joshua died in Reading, MA, on 19 Nov 1717; he was 63.

Joshua lived in the westerly part of the west parish. He was selectman and representative.

On 25 Apr 1678 when Joshua was 24, he first married Rebecca Kendall, daughter of Francis Kendall (1628) (ca 1618-1708) & Mary Tidd (ca 1620-1705), in Reading, MA. Born on 2 Mar 1657 in Woburn, MA. Rebecca died in Reading, MA, on 16 Apr 1690; she was 33.

Their children include:

1. Rebecca Eaton (13 Apr 1679-1699)
2. Elizabeth Eaton (1 May 1681-23 May 1764)
3. Joshua Eaton (12 Aug 1683-26 Feb 1767)
4. Capt. Thomas Eaton (19 Sep 1685-14 Oct 1774)
5. Abigail Eaton (19 Mar 1687/8-)

On 18 Dec 1690 when Joshua was 37, he second married Ruth Peirce , daughter of John Peirce (ca 1631-21 Oct 1682) & Ruth Bishop (14 Apr 1639-), in Reading, MA. Born on 22 Nov 1662 in Boston, MA. Ruth died in Stoneham, MA, on 10 Jul 1748; she was 85.
