Joshua Tillman

Joshua Tillman, son of John and Susan (Fields) Tillman, was born in 1816 in Chatham County, North Carolina. He married Matilda H. and settled in Marshall County, Tennessee, where he served as the county constable. Later the family moved to Hardeman County, Tennessee. The records of the war department show that Mr. Tillman served in the War between the States with Company B, 1st Tennessee Heavy Artillery, Confederate Army. Issue: Mary E. born 1846, Susan, born 1847, and John C. born 1849
