"Lieut. Joshua Welles was born in 1646 in Windsor, Conn. He died on 6 Jan 1721 in Windsor Conn.

Joshua married (1) Azubah Lamson daughter of Thomas Lamson on 5 May 1670. Azubah died on 12 Sep 1676.

Joshua married (2) Hannah Buckland daughter of Thomas Buckland on 11 Aug 1681. Hannah died in Nov 1694.

Sergeant Joshua Willes to be Lieutenant of the train band of Windsor on the east side of the great river.. His estate inventoried L279, and the agreement of his heirs shows that he left a widow Abigail and the five children (not Jonathan and John). He was prominent in the church and town affairs from 1706 to his death. Lt. Joshua Willes first married Azubah Lamson on Mary 5, 1670. she died Sept 12, 1676, second wife Hannah Aug. 14, 1681, Hannah died Nov. 1, 1694, He married third Abigail Rix, widow 1696.
