Josiah Baldwin, son of Josiah Baldwin and Mary Pierson, was b. in Derby, Conn., Sept. 17,1701 (which BALDWIN prefers to the date of Sept.1,1701 in the Killingworth Record). His father removed with the family to Killingworth, Conn. His father died in Clinton, Conn., June 1789, aged 88.
Josiah m. Dec. 1,1724, with MARY NETTLETON, who d. July 18,1752, and he must have m. the 2nd time. His adm'r was his son Josiah, and his estate thirty acres in the First Society of Killingworth (now Clinton).
Children were: Mary (1731), and Josiah (1736).
He was called "Capt.Sigh", say the descendants of his brother, Capt. Caleb, By tradition, his 2nd wife was ELIZABETH CRANE. She died Apr. 2,1789, aged 84, in Clinton, Conn.
