Josiah Washburn, born on 23 Jan. 1762 in Middleborough, Mass. Josiah married Phebe Cushman, daughter of William and Susanna (Pratt) Cushman (Jr.), of Middleborough, on 26 Aug. 1784 in Middleborough, and moved to Randolph, Vermont, with his parents and brothers in about 1786. Josiah and Phebe were the parents of:
