About Rabbi Josua Moses Falkenau
Rabbi in Fürth. Falkenau was also a jeweler and owned a glass and mirror store in Fürth Starting in 1804, Falkenau began serving as a judge in rabbinic court (Dayan) and as a faculty member at the Fürth Yeshiva. Given his wealth, he chose not to draw a salary.

Josua Moses Falkenau became an assistant rabbi (Rabbinatsbeisitzer) in 1804 and served also as a Rabbinic administrator under Salamon Kohn, who served as head rabbi of Fürth from 1789 until 1819. Falkenau studied under Kohn and Mosche Höchheimer and later served on the faculty of the Fürth yeshiva.
