Joyce Anne Welch

Joyce Anne (Haun) Welch of Charlotte, MI, age 65 passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 after a short illness. Joyce was born July 22, 1948 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Lloyd and Barbara J. (Crilly) Haun and had lived most of her life in Eaton County. She was a 1966 Graduate of Olivet High School and graduated from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek. She had been employed at the Federal Center in Battle Creek from where she retired in 2003. Prior to that she had been employed by the Social Security Administration, HUD and Eye Care Associates of Charlotte. She loved Shopping (especially at Christmas), enjoyed NASCAR, Arts, Crafts and Antiques. Surviving are: her husband, William Welch; Son, C. J. (Julie) VanSyckle of Charlotte; 2 grandchildren, Levi (Kendra) and Landen VanSyckle; brother, Ronald S. (Liz Hopkins-Haun) Haun of Olivet; sister, Marilyn Haun of Charlotte; 2 sisters-in-law, Louise Haun and Cora Haun; nieces, Heather (Mark) Zaremba, Holly (Brian) Lahr, Aleisha (Andy) Birgy and Leslie McNeil; nephews, Justin (Anne) Haun and Billie Sacco; 8 great nieces and nephews; cousins, Margaret (Loren) Dingman and Vickie (Bob) Crozier and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger Haun. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Scott Brood officiating. Interment will be in the Bosworth Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
