Obituary: Juan C. Angel

Juan Climaco Angel, 72, of 612 Valley Street, died in Santa Fe, Sunday, following an extended illness. He had been receiving medical treatment in Santa Fe for the past several weeks. The body was brought to Las Vegas last night.

Mr. Angel is survived by his sister, Mrs. Rita Montoya, Las Vegas, and two nieces and three nephews. Rosary devotional services will be held this evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Rogers Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Rogers Mortuary directors.

(Apparently named for St. John Climacus, or San Juan Climaco, a 6th century Syrian saint. His two nieces and one of his three nephews are children by Rita - Venerito, Maria, and Elena - and at least one nephew is Guadalupe's son, Tony, who would later be raised by Rita. The other nephew is as of May 2, 2015, unknown.)
